Maca powder is packed with over 20 amino acids and heaps of minerals including potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and iron. Flax seeds and nuts got your proteins, plus other amazing stuff like omega3's, B Complex, vitamin E, and more minerals. Coconut water tastes great and is my go-to for a huge reload of electrolytes after sweating it out during my workout. Oh, and did i mention Cacao for a delectable chocolatey finish? Pure chocolate is good for you! yipee! Cacao is an amazing addition here with its protein, potassium, zinc, dietary fiber and iron.
And for the recipe:
- 1 frozen banana
- 3 frozen strawberries
- 1 tbsp cacoa
- 1 tsp maca powder
- 1 tsp ground flax
- small handful of soft nuts like cashews or walnuts
- 1 squeeze local honey
- 1 tbsp coconut milk (opt)
- 6oz coconut water (or enough for your desired consistency)
Combine all ingredients in a blender on high for 1 minute
Add sliced almonds as garnish
